Forest Time

Forest Time is an outdoor family focused intervention based in Tunbridge Wells that works with families who are experiencing difficulties with relationships, communication and behaviour. This nature-based therapeutic approach combines tried and tested Forest School methods with strength-based family support to offer relief and sustained change to families under stress.

Forest Time helps family members work together, grow in confidence and communicate, understand and support each other in positive ways. Forest Time staff try to help everyone to feel safe so they can try out new outdoor activities and learn new skills, and work together to make useful changes in their relationships and their lives.

Each session will be based in the woodland and we will try to plan activities to suit the interests of the group. Some examples of what we might get up to include:

  • Fire-lighting
  • Shelter building
  • Tool use
  • Arts and crafts
  • Games
  • Hammocks and tarps
  • Wildlife Walks
  • Outdoor cookin
  • Willow weaving
  • Mindfulness
