Access to the site can be gained through the recreation area, near the path from Crane Lane, or through the back of the Co-op car park.

To help less able users visiting the reserve there is a boardwalk giving easy access to the site along its nothern bundary. The surface of the boardwalk is in part covered with chicken-wire to prevent slipping. The path along the southern side of the reserve is unsurfaced and in relatively good condition.

An interpretation board describe the site and its wildlife interest, and is situated in the eastern end of marshy area, near the broadwalk.
