Volunteers from the local community carry out the majority of practical works at Crane Valley. In recent years Cranbrook Youth Culture and corporate volunteers have supported and aided the management of Crane Valley.

We believe that community engagement is the key to managing any greenspace to its full potential. To achieve this, the Kent High Weald Partnership works alongside local groups to help fundraise, organise and then carry out practical conservation work on their local greenspaces. Without the ongoing commitment of volunteers it would not be feasible to carry on managing nature reserves, and a significant loss of biodiversity would result.
