The Friends of Barnett's Wood hold regular meetings to help guide the ongoing management of the nature reserve, initiate new projects, and develop the yearly events program. All of these meetings are open to the public, and everyone is welcome to join the group, or just come along to learn more about the reserve and contribute their own ideas.

During 2010, the Friends are hoping to gain support for another program of Spring and Summer events at Barnett's Wood, and are looking to further improve the picnic area with a natural play structures project.
