We
work in the Kent High Weald, designated as an Area of Outstanding
Natural Beauty (AONB) for its rolling hills, small, irregular fields,
abundant woods and hedges, scattered farmsteads and sunken lanes.

Sandrock outcrops are a distinctive part of High Weald landscape,
they are important geological features and a home for unusual
plants. The route now passes through Groombridge, with Harrison's
Rocks being a worthwhile detour providing one of the best
climbing edges in south-east England. This section also passes
the 17th century manor of Groombridge Place before finishing
in picturesque Old Groombridge.
