This section of the route passes through the village of Frant
which was cleared and settled in Saxon times. From Frant the
routes travels through Eridge Park, the oldest and largest
deer park in England, still covering 2,500 acres of land.
Much of Eridge Park is under Countryside Stewardship and is
an important place for wildlife with centuries old pollarded
oak trees. This section ends at Eridge Green.
