The Route: Explore the pretty country lanes around the village of Benenden. The route also takes in a section of bridleway running through Hemsted Forest, which can be very muddy during the winter months. There are a number of public houses on the route and plenty of places to stop for a picnic.

work in the Kent High Weald, designated as an Area of Outstanding
Natural Beauty (AONB) for its rolling hills, small, irregular fields,
abundant woods and hedges, scattered farmsteads and sunken lanes.
