Explore the heritage of the Weald Forest Ridge

The High Weald is recognised as one of England's Finest landscapes and is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). It is a landscape of rolling hills, small irregular fields, abundant woods and hedges, scattered farmsteads and sunken lanes.

The Weald Forest Ridge Landscape Partnership Scheme has been formed to enable people to reconnect, access and enjoy their local landscape. The scheme aims to encourage people to understand the landscape heritage, take part in caring for it, and to leave a legacy for future generations.

The Weald Forest Ridge 'Family Fun Project' encourages parents and toddlers to walk in and access the countryside. The Kent High Weald Partnership is running a series of heritage related activities, walks and events to encourage parents and their small children to explore and enjoy the countryside.

There will be a self-guided short-walk booklet developed for all families to download and access.
